Food and Beverage Manager

As the F&B Manager you will provide strategic and operational leadership for all food and beverage outlets, with a principal focus on our fine dining restaurant. This role requires a keen eye for quality, strong leadership capabilities, and a drive for excellence in guest experience. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day operations, optimize profitability, and work in close collaboration with the culinary and service teams to consistently elevate our standards.

Core Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of F&B operations, ensuring service standards are meticulously upheld across each dining outlet.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics for food quality, presentation, and service, ensuring each interaction enhances the guest experience.
  • Develop and implement best practices in all service areas, striving for continuous improvement.

Leadership and Talent Development

  • Recruit, train, and mentor F&B team members, building a cohesive, high-performing team focused on delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to maintain brand standards, enhance service skills, and foster a guest-centric culture.
  • Perform performance evaluations, set objectives, and support career development for staff at all levels.

Guest Experience and Quality Control

  • Cultivate an exceptional guest experience by managing ambiance, service flow, and prompt resolution of guest inquiries.
  • Liaise with the executive chef and kitchen team to curate seasonal menus and signature dining events that resonate with our guests.
  • Actively solicit guest feedback, analyze trends, and implement improvements to enhance guest satisfaction.

Financial Stewardship

  • Develop and manage the F&B budget, ensuring costs align with financial goals while maintaining service quality.
  • Conduct financial analysis to optimize profitability and cost-effectiveness across the F&B department.
  • Maintain rigorous inventory management and waste control practices, ensuring prudent use of resources.

Health, Safety, and Compliance

  • Uphold the highest standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure that cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards are met at all times.
  • Lead training in health and safety protocols, ensuring a culture of compliance and operational integrity.

Strategic Marketing and Promotions

  • Partner with the marketing team to develop innovative promotional strategies, driving guest engagement and increasing revenue.
  • Conceptualize and execute special dining events, experiences, and partnerships to elevate the hotel’s market position.
  • Conduct market research to stay attuned to dining trends, adjusting offerings to match guest preferences.

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive F&B management experience within luxury hotel or fine dining environments.
  • Demonstrable experience in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Profound understanding of international and local cuisine, wine pairing, and fine dining service standards.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
