We are a Professional Services Firm offering Business Advisory, Audit, Tax, Consulting, and Financial Advisory services to public and private clients in Africa, spanning multiple industries. We are known for providing services that meet the specific needs of our clients thus improving their efficiency and overall business performance.
Our client, a leading healthcare provider with a network of 3 fully-fledged hospitals and 16 primary care medical facilities, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller. The engagement is on a temporary basis for a period of 3 Months, subject to extension upon mutual agreement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance while offering strategic guidance to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for all branches and clinics,
- Monitor cash flow, revenue generation, and expenditure across all business units,
- Prepare consolidated financial reports and ensure compliance with all relevant standards,
- Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting,
- Implement and monitor internal controls to enhance accuracy and integrity of financial records,
- Provide strategic financial analysis to support business decisions and improve operational efficiency,
- Develop and enforce policies to ensure effective financial management and compliance, and
- Ensure the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
Skills and Qualifications Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field,
A post graduate degree will be an added advantage,
• CPA/ACCA certification is required for this role, Proven experience (at least 7 years) in financial management, Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, and financial analysis, Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and Proficiency in financial software and systems.
