Job summary To ensure effective budgeting processes, budget monitoring and smooth running of the Accounts Receivables function as well as reporting in line with ROM policy and specific donor requirements.
Responsibilities and duties 1.     Monitor & update the Budget monitoring module with respective budget holders and proactive prevention of further variances by providing advice of best course of action.
2.     Review & and reconcile on a bi-monthly basis a transaction listing of project expenses per donor with each budget holder and ensure correct cost allocations.
3.     Prepare accurate & complete donor periodic financial reports based on donor funding reporting requirements.
4.     Timely invoicing for all due income especially for cost-reimbursable.
5.     Review incoming project requisitions and supporting documents to ensure compliance with all donor requirements and proper cost allocation as per approved budgets.
6.     Other duties as may be required of a Finance Manager – such as review of LPOs and Payment vouchers, Posting of PVs and JVs and other support that may be required from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience ·       Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Management, or any other relevant field.
·       CPA or ACCA qualification.
·       At least five years of experience in Finance, Audit and Compliance.
·       Previous experience with computerized financial management systems (eg. Navision, QuickBooks etc), and online banking platforms especially BEYONIC is an added advantage.
·       Experience working with donor-funded projects, especially in managing Cooperative agreements and contracts is mandatory.
·       Ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
·       High level of integrity and interpersonal skills.
·       Excellent writing, management, and organizational skills.
·       Ability to independently plan and execute complex tasks while addressing daily management details and remaining organized and focused on long-term deadlines and strategy.
·       Proven ability to set priorities, multi-task, and work collaboratively as well as independently
