Job Description
- The Finance Manager is a strategic leader responsible for driving financial planning, budgeting, and risk management in a fast-growing fintech environment.
- This role entails providing data-driven insights and ensuring that financial operations align with the company’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term financial strategies that align with company objectives.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring all departments are aligned with financial targets.
- Conduct regular forecasting to anticipate market trends and business needs.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial health and guide decision-making.
- Implement and refine processes that drive operational efficiencies.
- Oversee daily cash flow and liquidity management to support ongoing operations.
- Financial reporting of cash flow within the company and give financial advice.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Provide opportunities for training and development to enhance team capabilities.
- Present financial insights and performance trends to senior leadership and board members.
- Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and internal control procedures.
- Serve as the primary liaison during internal and external audits.
- Monitor and control costs across the organization, identifying opportunities for savings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA is an added advantage.
- CFA is a plus
- Minimum 4 years of experience in financial management, budgeting, and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and IFRS.
- Experience in preparing financial reports, cash flow management, and variance analysis.
- Knowledge of tax laws, auditing processes, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to lead and mentor finance teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and risk management.
- Experience with accounting and financial software like QuickBooks, Odoo, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing financial strategies to drive business growth.
Salary
N500,000 – N700,000 / Month.
