Cycling out of Poverty Foundation (CooP-Uganda) supports students, health volunteers, farmers and small entrepreneurs with bicycles to improve access to basic needs and services like education, health care, work and income. We believe that a bicycle makes a difference in this world and is a huge contributor to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Our mission is to improve livelihood of Ugandan families by making bicycles and other mobility aids (such as wheelchairs, bicycle ambulances and cargo bikes) accessible and available for everyone in Uganda.
For our office in Jinja Uganda, we are currently looking to recruit a detail oriented, highly motivated, organised, responsible, and accurate Finance manager. The Finance manager is responsible for the effective and successful management of administrative, accounting, productivity, and quality control of the organisation. Oversees daily operations, ensuring all processes and procedures work smoothly. Ensure organisation’s policies and government requirements are followed. Ultimate responsibility is to keep high standards of financial management and increase operational efficiency. We are looking for a finance specialist who has experience in: – Financial recording and general administration (including QuickBooks); – Financial management; – Financial planning; – Financial reporting; – Risk management. The Finance manager has one finance assistant, and reports to the General Manager.
The applicant must be/have:
– A passion for cycling and conservation; must be able to ride a bicycle
– University graduate in finance and administration or its equivalent.
– A minimum of four years of experience in finance.
– Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
– Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
– Proficiency with office computer equipment and software.
– Demonstrated ability to multi – task and work in a fast – paced office setting.
– Excellent organizational skills
– Ability to work well under pressure
