Through the platform, SusRecomm has onboarded local artisans, professionals, contractors, vendors and linked them with clients/customers who are in need of their services hence creating jobs for the unemployed and underemployed, provide an avenue where artisans, professionals, contractors and hardware can earn revenue and most importantly provide sustainability solutions to clients/customers in our areas of focus. POSITION: Finance Associate

EDUCATION: Accounting, Finance, or a related field
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: BSc/Higher Diploma

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zoho One Books, QuickBooks, or similar tools)
- Previous experience of Microsoft Office tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment

- Assessment and planning skills Job Title: Finance Associate 2 2. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To efficiently and support the Construction Team and other department to nimbly plan, budget and implement projects in our key focus areas.
3. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Finance Associate will report to the Finance Officer and work very closely with all our construction team and consultants.
4. SCOPE OF JOB
a) Internal Reportees None
b) External Liaisons Consultants, Contractors, Hardwares, Artisans, and other key stakeholder
5. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Financial Reporting and Analysis:
i. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
ii. Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control or revenue enhancement.
iii. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports within timelines.
b) Budgeting and Forecasting:
iv. Develop and monitor budgets for construction projects, operational costs, and company-wide expenses.
v. Collaborate with project managers to forecast costs and track project financial performance.
vi. Provide variance analysis and recommend adjustments to ensure adherence to our financial goals.
c) Compliance and Audit:
vii. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and construction-specific financial policies. viii. Liaise with external auditors during financial audits and provide all necessary documentation and explanations.
ix. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry-specific regulations and financial practices.
d) Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:
x. Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure accurate invoicing, timely payments, and cash flow management.
xi. Review and approve payment schedules for our contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
e) Cost Management and Analysis:
xii. Analyze project costs, overheads, and procurement expenditures to ensure efficient resource allocation. Job Title: Finance Associate 3

f) Strategic Financial Planning:
xiv. Partner with senior leadership to align financial strategies with company goals.
xv. Support the evaluation of new projects, investments, and partnerships by conducting financial feasibility studies.g) Systems and Process Optimization:
xvi. Implement and maintain accounting software and tools to streamline financial processes.
xvii. Develop and enforce internal controls to ensure the integrity of our financial data.
xviii. Continuously improve financial workflows to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
h) Team Collaboration and Support:
xix. Provide financial guidance to your project managers, procurement teams, and other departments.
xx. Train and mentor junior finance staff, fostering a culture of growth and accountability. To carry out any other duties as may reasonably be expected of the post-holder commensurate with the scope, spirit and nature of the job.
6. Compensation Package:
a) Basic Salary is Ksh 40,000;
b) Stock options in under 1 year depending on performance;
c) Health Insurance: National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) – Inclusive in the basic salary
d) Pension Scheme: National Social Security Fund (NSSF) – Inclusive in the basic salary
