Finance and Admin Officer

The Finance Officer is responsible for overseeing the financial process, analyze everyday financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans.

The finance officer will play a crucial role in developing and implementing financial plans that support the company’s growth and profitability.

Monitoring financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, and capitalizing on opportunities will be integral parts of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

•  Analyze revenues, and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.

•  Analysing data collected in order to determine the state of the company’s financial status.

•  Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.

•  Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.

•  Ensure that accurate reports are in place in order to enable a thorough understanding of the current position and support forward planning and decision making.

 

 

•  Ensure that all budgets are utilized according to the approved budget document.

•  Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.

  • Ensure timely and correct payment of all government taxes, statuary deductions, salaries, and staff benefits.
  • Monthly returns filling (PAYE, SDL, WHT, Provisional Taxes & VAT)
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of all CNS Group accounts to ensure their accuracy and uploading them on ZOHO Books
  • Examining and paying of expenses submitted by CNS Group’s Staff – Treasury
  • Maintaining an orderly accounting and expenses filing system.
  • Support fixed assets documentation, inventory and reporting.

Job Requirements

  • CertificationA professional certification in Accountancy (e.g. CPA (T) / Certified Public Accountant, is essential.
  •  LanguagSkills Proficiency in English language is preferred.
  •  MobilityAbility to travel as required for supplier visits and meetings.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounts, commerce, Economics, Statistics or any relevant field.
  •  Experience5 years of experience relevant experience.
  •  TechnicaSkills:

o  Proficient in Accounting Packages – ZOHO Books, Quick books, etc.

o  Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

  •  Knowledge:

o Understanding of all statutory accountancy regulations (TRA/ NSSF/ WCF etc.)

o  Familiarity with  relevant legal regulations and industry standards.
