We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Resource to join our finance team. The Senior Accounts Person will be responsible for managing various accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, and financial analysis and experience handling Admin roles.

Responsibilities:

  • 1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
      • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
      • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
      • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • 2. General Ledger and Accounts Reconciliation:
      • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting entries.
      • Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other balance sheet accounts.
      • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during the reconciliation process.
  • 3. Tax Compliance:
      • Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes.
      • Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
      • Coordinate with external tax advisors or authorities as necessary.
  • 4. Financial Systems and Processes:
      • Participate in the development and improvement of accounting systems, processes, and controls.
      • Streamline financial operations by identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
      • Maintain documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • 5. Financial Planning and Budgeting:
      • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
      • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide insights for budgeting purposes.
      • Monitor and analyze actual performance against budgeted targets, identifying and explaining variances.
  • 6. Audit and Compliance:
      • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
      • Assist in the implementation of audit recommendations and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
      • Work closely with auditors to address inquiries and resolve any audit findings.
  • 7. Team Leadership and Mentoring:
    • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, assisting with complex accounting issues.
    • Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs for team members.

 

  • 8. Risk Management: Identifying and assessing financial risks, such as liquidity, credit, and market risks, and developing strategies to mitigate them. Implementing internal controls and compliance processes to safeguard the organization’s assets and ensure adherence to relevant regulations and accounting standards.
  • 9. Financial Operations Management: Overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, treasury management, tax planning, and cash flow management. Ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in financial processes and transactions.

Administrative roles include:

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
  • Manage schedules, arrange meetings, and handle travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Maintain office supplies and manage inventory.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A very good attitude.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior accounting role, preferably within a corporate finance environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
