We deploy capital through a proprietary debt fund in Uganda and managed funds investing across Eastern and Southern
Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting – 70%
1. Reviewing and processing requisitions and reimbursement claims.
2.Assisting the investment team with credit control processes, budget planning, and expense analysis.
3.Maintaining a digital record of all financial transactions, documents, and supplier information.
4.Process loan disbursements, ensuring all necessary approvals and processing steps are complete
5.Monitor loan repayments, reconciling them across various transaction channels, and keeping the portfolio management team updated with accurate information.
Administration-30%
1. Ensuring the office is stocked with necessary supplies and that all equipment is working and properly maintained.
2.Planning, scheduling, and promoting office events, including meetings, conferences, interviews, orientations, and training sessions.
3.Manage office premises and ensure it provides a safe and productive working environment.
Qualifications
Education & Work Experience
● Bachelor’s degree, with a major in business, finance, accounting or economics. ACCA or CPA qualification is an added advantage.
● 2-3 years of experience in a finance and admin role, preferably in a financial institution
Skills + Capabilities
● Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
● Hands-on experience with accounting softwares like QuickBooks
● Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
