What you will do
The Field Sales Rep will be responsible for executing targeted marketing activations within specific local markets. This role requires a dynamic individual who can engage with the local community, build brand awareness, and drive product adoption through strategic activations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the local market, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently to achieve set goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and generate leads for potential loan customers through various field activities, including community outreach, market visits, and networking.
- Meet with 25+ business owners daily; make them aware about Fido’s offerings
- Conduct preliminary assessments of potential customers to determine their eligibility for loans.
- Educate potential customers about Fido Microcredit’s loan products and services.
- Meet and exceed weekly/monthly targets for lead generation.
- Provide regular reports on field activities and lead generation efforts.
- Stay updated on Fido Microcredit’s loan products, policies, and procedures.
- Adhere to Fido’s code of conduct and ethical guidelines

Skills & Qualifications:
- 0 – 1 Years, prior experience in a sales or marketing role is preferred, but not compulsory
- Proficient in computer and mobile technology – you are experienced with Android apps and desktop productivity software like Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc.
- Verbal and written fluency in English and Luganda, any other local language is an added advantage
- Ability to provide customer support using professional and clear language
- Knowledge about and practical experience with the principles of great customer care, and superb etiquette
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high levels of empathy – you are patient enough to truly listen to and understand the needs and wants of Fido’s users, and can address their questions or concerns
