CNOOC Enertech International (U) Limited is a subcontractor to one of the upstream oil and gas companies in Uganda. It provides exploration, drilling engineering, logging, underground special operations, petroleum engineering construction and other services to the oil and gas sector.
The Company is making the following recruitment in the stated positions for their field operations.
1. ESP PROJECT MANAGER
Primary Functions:
- Responsible for ESP project management.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment requirement as completion/workover program and ensure availability of adequate, materials, spares, tools and test equipment guided by standard procedures.
- Support ESP Section head regarding related report document in the office and assist in the preparation of data for management reports.
- Participate in all ESP failure analysis and coordinate with ESP supplier to follow up.
- To maintenance and track materials, spares, tools and test equipment and ensure it is guided by standard procedures.
- Manage all contracts and service orders of ESP system and responsible to report or coordinate with manager or ESP section Head.
- Review ESP design and PO list before sending purchase orders as required.
- Manage and optimize inventory levels to ensure sufficient inventory for new conversions and replacement of ESP installations.
- Maintainance and updating the database for all ESP wells.
- Responsible for the technical documents provision of ESP equipment, services, etc.
- Provide technical support and analysis to the field operations (Installation, Commissioning and Optimization).
- Update all ESP working procedures and related SOP documents periodically.
- Responsible for the ESP well tracking issue and ESP’s well performance analysis.
- To conduct necessary new technology study, research and analysis.
Requirements
- College or above majored in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical manufacturing and automation or Resource exploration engineering or the related.
- At least 5 years of experience in ESP in oil and gas sector.
Required knowledge
- H2S protection training certificate for petroleum site operation.
- Safety & survival certificate for petroleum site operation or other similar certificates.
- Good professional English skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
- Capable of reviewing and optimizing ESP design prior to installation/workover.
- More than 15 wells or 3 years pull/install the ESP systems (Including ESP install/pull, ESP cable splicing, electrical integrity reading, and clamping services) or other similar downhole operation experience.
- Full appreciation of reservoir background and fluid properties with ability to make sizing and optimization for ESP in varied scenarios.
- Be competent on ESP System Real-Time Monitoring/ Performance Optimization/ Failure Detection, including the remote monitoring system.
- Deep understanding of ESP materials and familiar with all types of ESP equipment include Ytool, Casing Shroud, POD /CAN system, various of connectors, down-hole sensors, etc.
- Knowledge Microsoft Office software, such as EXCEL, WORD, PPT and PROJECT, etc.

- Support the corporate culture and policies of CNOOC and conscientiously implement the company’s policies.
- Age shall be no more than 45 years old.
