Entrepreneurship Program Coordinator

Job Description

The Entrepreneurship Program Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing and executing our entrepreneurship support programs. This position requires a highly motivated and organized individual with a passion for entrepreneurship and a strong understanding of the Ugandan business landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Management:
    • Oversee the entire program lifecycle, from sourcing potential entrepreneurs to post-investment support.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive program plans and timelines.
    • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
  2. Entrepreneur Sourcing and Selection:
    • Identify and source potential entrepreneurs through various channels, including online platforms, partnerships, and community outreach.
    • Develop and implement a rigorous selection process to identify high-potential entrepreneurs.
    • Conduct initial screening and interviews to assess entrepreneurs’ eligibility and potential.
  3. Training and Capacity Building:
    • Organize and facilitate training programs on various topics, including business planning, financial management, marketing, and legal compliance.
    • Identify and partner with external trainers and experts to deliver high-quality training.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements.
  4. Investor Relations:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential investors, including angel investors, venture capitalists, and impact investors.
    • Facilitate connections between entrepreneurs and investors through matchmaking events, pitch sessions, and one-on-one meetings.
    • Provide ongoing support to entrepreneurs throughout the investment process, including due diligence and negotiation.
  5. Monitoring and Evaluation:
    • Track and monitor the progress of participating entrepreneurs, including their business performance, job creation, and social impact.
    • Collect and analyze data to measure the overall impact of the program.
    • Prepare regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and recommendations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in entrepreneurship, business development, or project management.

  • Strong understanding of the Ugandan business ecosystem and challenges faced by entrepreneurs

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

  • Passion for social impact and sustainable development
