Roles & Responsibilities

  • Agrees strategic direction for the function aligned to business needs and the VPO.
  • Ensures alignment of the business strategy.
  • Develops and implements KPI’s and reporting systems and analyses the KPI’s to provide business insight Governance & Standards
  • Ensure compliance to applicable statutory maintenance requirements for Utilities.
  • Ensure SHE maintenance work practices and procedures are developed and adhered to.
  • Ensure governance / compliance to maintenance standards and practices are adhered to.
  • Audit Energy and Fluids across plant & ensure the plant closes audit gaps.
  • Provides support to Malting in identification of Energy & Fluids 1 year and 3 year glide paths and plans.
  • Development of VA initiatives for malting plant and delivers on identified VA initiatives.
  • Actively involved in the compilation, execution of Utilities budgets.
  • Ensure resource availability to improve E&F and the Malting efficiency (i.e.TEL)
  • Implement E&F Global processes and best practices (GOPs, SWEEP, Levers etc)
  • Process integration of Capin projects
  • Ensure optimum Utilities Shutdown plans are in place Continuity and Risk
  • Develop and standardize system Utilities availability Business Continuity Plan (BCP) plans for countries and plants
  • Develops and implements approaches to mitigate obsolescence
  • Ensure sharing of best practices for Utilities management
  • Monitors Utilities quality parameters (IQMS)
  • Implements Ammonia and Steam Process Safety Management programs.
  • Managing the BTS plant .
  • Assist in the development plans for all Energy & Fluids positions. Provide coaching for E&F across the malting plant.
  • Supports the development and roll out of E&F Technical Packages
  • Utilities SME for Capital projects, ensuring Energy & Fluids best practices are incorporated into design specifications.
  • Evaluates plant capacity and expansion plans to ensure efficient Utility capacity
  • Support the operational readiness plan. Partnering with Suppliers
  • Identify key suppliers and support Procurement to formulate technical specifications.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 2-3 years FMCG or beverages experience in industrial electrical and mechanical engineering and maintenance.
  • Is an experienced practitioner of the manufacturing way and VPO.
  • Familiar with OSHA and plant legislative laws.
  • Ability to travel for 50 % of the time
  • Good knowledge of the safety requirements.
  • Very strong communication skills from executive level through to shop floor.
  • Strong systemic and strategic thinking balanced with a practical realism.
  • Strong analytic skills and problem-solving capability tempered with a bias for action.
  • Ability to influence others and build relationships in all levels of the organization.
