
Description
The Driver will provide transport services for UBOS employees, visitors, and goods, ensuring their safety and efficient delivery to intended destinations.
Reports To: Administrative Assistant – Transport
Job Reference: UBOS/D11/2025
Salary Scale: UBOS SP6
Key Results Areas:
- Drive UBOS vehicles for authorized activities.
- Deliver and collect materials, documents, and correspondence, including to/from field offices.
- Transport staff or visitors to various destinations, ensuring safe travel.
- Maintain vehicle logbooks as per UBOS transport guidelines.
- Ensure assigned vehicles are clean, serviced, and maintained in excellent condition.
- Coordinate with the transport office to keep licenses, parking stickers, and insurance up to date.
- Adhere to safe driving practices and the Road Safety Act.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education:
- “O” Level Certificate (UCE) or equivalent.
- Valid driving permit with classes B, B1, and DL (Class DH is an added advantage).
- Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or Preventive Maintenance from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of accident-free driving experience in a credible organization.
- Skills:
- Professionalism, integrity, and teamwork.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence, patience, and tact when handling difficult situations.
- Behavioral Attributes:
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and multitasking abilities.
