Your role:
Reports to: Senior Logistics Associate
The Delivery Rider will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of customer orders across Nairobi. The rider will be responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering groceries and household essentials while maintaining high service and safety standards. The role involves direct interaction with customers, requiring professionalism, reliability, and excellent communication skills. The rider will also be responsible for ensuring the motorcycle is well-maintained and adhering to all road safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick up and deliver customer orders safely and on time.
- Verify and cross-check deliveries against order details.
- Handle products with care, ensuring they reach customers in perfect condition.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
- Maintain delivery records and report any delivery issues.
- Ensure the motorcycle is well-maintained and in good working condition.
- Follow all road safety regulations and company policies.
The profile we’re likely to hire:
- Valid motorcycle riding license (Class A2).
- Prior experience as a delivery rider is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of Nairobi roads and neighborhoods.
- Ability to use Google Maps or GPS navigation for route optimization.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Physically fit and comfortable with handling deliveries.
- Basic smartphone skills for order tracking and communication.
