Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimizing data flow, and working with various data infrastructure technologies.
- This role is critical in ensuring the seamless integration and accessibility of data across the organization, enabling data-driven decisionmaking and insights.
Key Responsibilities
Data Pipeline Development:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support various data processing and analytics needs.
- Develop and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to consolidate data from multiple sources.
- Data Integration and Management:
- Integrate data from various internal and external sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Manage and optimize data storage solutions, including databases and data warehouses.
Data Quality and Governance:
- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing procedures.
- Adhere to data governance and security policies, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- oProvide support and troubleshooting for data-related issues and system performance.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
- Continuously optimize and enhance data pipelines and infrastructure for performance and scalability.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or relevant certification in data engineering, data science, or big data technologies is a plus.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with data processing frameworks and tools such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for data storage and processing.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Analytical Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with large datasets and perform data analysis to derive insights.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
