Job Brief:
The Credit Control Officer will play a pivotal role in optimizing credit control processes by ensuring efficient debt collections and follow-ups. This position involves proactive management of billing processes, rigorous risk oversight, and the delivery of accurate and timely reports as required.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage daily collection tasks promptly.
- Implement collection policies and procedures to prevent growth of bad-debt.
- Achieve payment collection goals and targets.
- Ensure all current billing is done within 24 hours.
- Ensure all customer disputes are solved through immediate reconciliation.
- Ensure clear adherence to billing instructions, collaborating with bookings to enforce pay-on-fitment instructions
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, customer care, and finance, to ensure accurate billing and resolve payment disputes
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the collections process for effectiveness and efficiency
- Set up payment plans
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Credit Risk Management, Debt Collection or Credit Control Management
- BSc in Banking and Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Proficiency in creating and processing financial spreadsheets
- Strong analytical skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Customer service skills
- Eloquent and well spoken
