Job Title: Corporate Librarian
Reports to: Director of Flight Operations

Role Purpose Statement:
Under the general direction and guidance of the Director of Flight Operations, the Corporate Librarian
is responsible for managing the Aircraft and Operations Library at Jambojet, ensuring that technical
publications required for flight operations are current. This involves the distribution of amendments,
maintaining accurate flight crew records, and supporting flight operations personnel qualification.
Accountability
1. Manage and develop day to day operations of Flight Operations
Technical Publications in conjunction with operations management,
appropriate standards, policies and procedures.
2. Ensure flight operations documents are properly stored, referenced,
revised, reviewed, updated, maintained and distributed.
Authority
1. Make decisions on risk tolerability when safety risks and security threats are acceptable.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
1. Manage the contents of the airline’s Operations Manual (all parts), ensuring they are current
and updated for Flight Crews and Flight Dispatch.
2. Provide aircraft operations technical support to the company fleet, flight crew, and other
airline departments in compliance with regulations.
3. Maintain a full set of regulatory required operations manuals.
4. Facilitate flight operations personnel qualification through the scheduling of trainings and
maintenance of the training records under the supervision of the Chief.
5. Manage and develop day-to-day operations of Flight Operations Technical Publications in
conjunction with operations management.
6. Provide detailed reports on Navigation Planning activities.
7. Ensure flight operations documents are properly stored, referenced, revised, reviewed,
updated, maintained, and distributed.
8. Ensure the implementation of safety, security, and emergency standards at all times.
9. Procure, replenish, and identify commonly used documents at OCC/aircraft to ensure timely
availability.
10. Capture and compile operational data and queries from voyage reports to provide trend
analysis for aircraft document integrity.
11. Raise the standard and consistency of company documentation.
12. Manage the disposal of flight operations and aircraft documents as per company disposal
procedure.

a) Technical Knowledge: Proficient in understanding flight operations and dispatch procedures,
with familiarity in airline documentation, navigation planning, and aircraft performance.
b) Management Skills: Effective in scheduling, document management, and regulatory
compliance, and capable of managing and organizing a vast array of technical publications and
records.
c) Human Relations Skills: Strong communication skills for effective dissemination of information
and collaboration with various departments, coupled with the ability to lead and coordinate
training activities.
d) Specialized Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of airline operational manuals and
documentation procedures, along with an understanding of aviation regulations, both local
and international.

Qualifications:
a) Education: Minimum of Diploma in Information Science from a recognized institution.
b) Experience: Minimum of 5 years of practical experience information management, including
experience in a Flight Operations Library.
c) Certification: Relevant industry certification is an added advantage. Membership to
professional bodies is an added advantage.
