Are you a financial accountant who is passionate about financial solutions, leadership in supporting the finance team, warehouse and transport operations in a busy environment that offer required solutions to the team and entire business processes in an efficient and effective manner? We are looking for someone with mid-level experience in financial accountancy (Warehouse operations) to support the finance team. As a contract accountant, you shall be expected to support DHL Supply Chain, Kenya in providing Financial and Commercial support in the Warehouse operations.
About The Role Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide financial and commercial support to the Contracts.
- Effective financial management of the account.
- Direct & control in liaison with the Operations owner the overall Financial Plans and expenditures.
- Accountable for Management accounting and Cost accounting within the assigned contracts.
- Develop and coordinate necessary and appropriate accounting data and procedures for the.
- Financing Site Development Plans.
- Support in Internal and External Audits of various contracts.
- Responsible for preparation of Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly financial reports for the Contracts.
- Attends Management meetings to discuss Contract performance.
- Drive Compliance awareness within the Contracts.
- Work with the Finance Controller to develop and control the strategic planning process and the reporting.
- Support decision-making through the provision and use of first-class financial information based on an accurate reporting and costings.
- Preparation of annual budget monthly forecasts, monthly management reports and quarterly business reports.
- Review and challenge of Contract Financial performance, directing and assisting in ensuring achievement of budget and forecast.
- Ensure Compliance with all Local statutory accounting rules and requirements, Group Accounting policies and procedures and other Compliance driven policies and procedures.
- Revenue management ensuring timely and accurate billing of clients and collection of receivables supported by Accounts Receivables.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce – Accounting option.
- Qualified Professional Accounts (ACCA, CPA, CA).
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Knowledge of an ERP system.
- Commercial breadth, i.e., general management experience
- Project management (From a finance perspective).
- Track record of strong P&L understanding.
