Job Description:
Black Knight Africa is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Company Lawyer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice, ensure compliance with corporate laws, and handle all legal matters related to our operations. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of IT and digital marketing laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and support on corporate legal issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Ensure the company’s compliance with local, regional, and international laws.
- Manage legal risks, disputes, and litigations.
- Stay updated with changes in legislation and regulations impacting the IT industry.
- Liaise with external legal advisors when necessary.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- Admitted to the bar in Uganda.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law, preferably within the IT sector.
- Strong knowledge of Ugandan corporate laws and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Should be working with a reputable law firm in Kampala.
