The External Relations Unit (ERU) in WFP Sudan Country Office (CO) is responsible for partnerships (donor relations), communications, and reporting. The ERU uses various forms of communications to raise awareness of the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe and famine in Sudan to generate funding. In light of the continuation of a regional corporate scale up for Sudan and the famine confirmation there is increased media and public attention, more attention and pressure for WFP visibility on social media channels, higher demand for donor visibility and communications, and a pressing need to communicate more with the general Sudanese public and our beneficiaries to counter disinformation.
