Job Title: Chief Technology Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Key Responsibilities
Technology Leadership:
- Define and execute Arya Marketplace’s technology roadmap in alignment with business goals.
- Lead the transition from Laravel PHP to Node.js (backend) and React (frontend) within the next 2 years.
- Evaluate and integrate scalable cloud solutions, database architectures, and emerging technologies.
Infrastructure & Security:
- Optimize platform infrastructure for reliability and cost efficiency.
- Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect user data and payment information.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the CEO and other co-founders to align on business objectives.
- Represent the company’s technology vision to investors, partners, and other stakeholders.
Product Development & Strategy:
- Collaborate with the product team to design and implement new features and enhancements.
- Ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience for merchants and buyers on the platform.
- Prioritize platform performance, security, and scalability for high transaction volumes.
Team Management:
- Build, mentor, and manage a team of software developers, engineers, and QA specialists.
- Establish best practices for coding, testing, and deployment to ensure rapid and reliable development cycles.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
Technical Skills:
- Languages & Frameworks: Expertise in PHP (Laravel), JavaScript (Node.js, React), and modern web technologies.
- Cloud: Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP for hosting, storage, and DevOps.
- APIs: Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience transitioning toGraphQL.
- Frontend: Strong understanding of responsive design and UI/UX principles.
- Database: Proficiency in relational (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
