Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of Africa’s youth? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator is looking for a dynamic Chief Operating Officer to lead our operations in Kigali, Rwanda.
About the Role: As the COO, you will oversee programmatic interventions and ensure smooth operations of our Rwanda office. You will work closely with the Country Manager and senior leadership team to drive impactful initiatives, including work readiness training, CV and mock interview support, and technical skill delivery via partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Harambee Rwanda’s operations and interventions.
- Oversee work readiness skilling and pathways.
- Manage curriculum amendments and support the Country Manager.
- Build and track impact sourcing value propositions for the GBS sector.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with skilling partners.
- Conduct monthly progress updates and submit quarterly reports to stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Management/Business/Economics/Statistics or related fields with 10 years’ experience, or 6/7 years with a Master’s.
- Proven experience in funder management and governance.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in overseeing budgets.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, including with government entities.
- Experience or knowledge of the Global Business Services sector is an advantage.
