Chief Finance Officer

ICM Rwanda Agribusiness Limited (Lucki Rice) is looking for a skilled Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team in Kigali, Rwanda. Our company is a well-established player in the agriculture sector, focusing on rice production and retailing across the value chain. This diverse role is ideal for an organized and proactive professional with a keen attention to detail.

Requirements:

-The role demands a qualified accountant with substantial financial and tax expertise, with a minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to engage with individuals from all levels within the organization and external stakeholders like bankers and auditors.

As the CFO, you will lead the financial operations, develop financial strategies, and ensure the financial well-being of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

– Creating annual financial projections for revenues, expenses, budgets, and overall company performance.

– Managing daily cash flow, providing financial guidance on investments, and developing financing strategies.

– Overseeing financial planning and analysis for Lucki Rice and the overall ICM group, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

– Developing and implementing financial strategies to optimize cash flow, manage risks, and enhance operational efficiency.

– Leading the budgeting process to ensure accurate forecasting and effective resource allocation across all business units.

– Managing relationships with banks, investors, and stakeholders to secure funding and support growth initiatives.

– Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards while implementing best practices in financial management.

– Analyzing inventory management practices to improve turnover rates and reduce holding costs.

 

Qualifications:

· A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is mandatory.

· Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial management role within the agriculture or food processing sector.

· Strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.

· Excellent computer skills and the ability to use different types of software.

· Familiarity with Rwandan financial regulations.
