Business Development Intern

Job Summary:

As a Business Development Intern, you will play a crucial role in expanding our market reach across various sectors. Your focus will be on cultivating strategic partnerships, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and driving our universal health coverage agenda through targeted sales and marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Partnership Development:

● Cultivate, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships with health industry stakeholders.

● Engage with governments, corporate organizations, NGOs, insurance companies, medical institutions, and individual doctors to promote the universal health coverage agenda.

2. Sales and Business Development:

● Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company goals.

● Proactively hunt for new business opportunities, deliver persuasive sales presentations, negotiate, and close deals.

3. Stakeholder Engagement:

● Establish and maintain relationships at all levels of organizations, especially with decision-makers.

● Coordinate with internal teams to ensure high levels of direct customer support.

4. Marketing and Promotional Activities:

● Manage business development initiatives, including retail propositions, customer experience enhancement, marketing communication, pricing, promotions, and media.

● Participate in defining the go-to-market strategy, working alongside product and marketing teams.

5. Market and Business Analysis:

● Conduct market analysis, competitor analysis, and business analysis.

● Forecast future trends and prepare management reports.

6. Event Representation and Hosting:

● Represent the company at industry events and host events for clients, showcasing our solutions.

7. New Account Development:

● Focus on new account development, customer growth, and retention.

8. Compliance and Ethical Standards:

● Ensure adherence to regulatory and ethical standards in all business activities,

especially those related to medical equipment distribution and clinical research.

Qualifications:

● Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in or medical laboratory science and technology /public relations & communication/Microbiology or any other relevant courses

Having experience in technical laboratory work is an added advantage

● Proficiency in English Language, both written and spoken

● Competency in remote working tools and online reporting

Desired Skills

● Have good knowledge on competitive and complementary laboratory diagnostic services available in the market.

● Be Data-driven and exhibit strong analytical thinking with sound business decision making ability

● Strong organizational and time-management abilities
