RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Development and results-oriented Business Executives to join our team.

The successful candidates will be responsible for creating and implementing effective sales strategies to drive the growth and retention of our customer base. This role requires a strong understanding of the logistics and freight forwarding industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1.Business Development:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Translate the sales action plan into a clear and concise individual sales action plan and ensure execution of the plan to achieve sales goals.

2.Customer Retention and Growth:

  • Drive retention and growth of the existing customer base.
  • Maintain and grow customer relationships by meeting current and future customer needs and upselling.

3.Customer Acquisition:

  • Identify and target opportunities to convert them into customers using the complete service portfolio.

4. Forecasting and Reporting:

  • Fulfill accurate, timely forecasting and reporting
  • Perform account planning and generate insights.

5.Market and Industry Engagement:

  • Analyze market share, monitor customer, competitor, and industry needs and activities.
  • Network with customers, suppliers, and industry partners.

6.Internal Collaboration:

  •  Actively engage and interact with other departments, functions, and offices within the global network.
  •  Perform trade lane business reviews with main counterparts.

7. Reporting and Presentations:

  • Update CRM/Calendar/Weekly planners and provide weekly meeting updates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years+ sales experience in logistics or freight forwarding.
  • Solid knowledge of sales and experience operating within a sales environment.
  • Tertiary level qualification in a related discipline in Freight Forwarding & Customs Compliance

DESIRED COMPETENCIES & ATTRIBUTES

  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, procedures; international freight forwarding, FCL/LCL, and Incoterms.
  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales, preterably in the logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented with a strong drive for results.
