The Business Analyst will report to Head Business and will be
responsible for assessing all business transactions and leverage
data to identify opportunities for improvement, spot trends, as
well as to recognize potential issues and offer solutions with the
aim of improving efficiency, increasing productivity, and driving
profits for the business.
Specific responsibilities include;
• Responsible for sourcing data and analysis to ensure the
optimization of all Banking activities, proposition and
channels to achieve maximum returns.
• Automate data analysis and reporting to ensure there is timely
delivery of reports needed for decision-making.
• Mine and analyze data from the bank’s databases to drive
optimization and improvement of product development,
marketing techniques and business strategies.
• Develop easy to understand reports for branches to enable
managers to gain deep understanding of their business that will
assist them drive growth and profitability.
• Perform regular data analysis to uncover revenue
opportunities and identify income leakages.
• Develop predictive modelling to increase and optimize
customer experiences, to foretell and avert customer attrition,
increase revenue generation and guide marketing campaigns.
• Analysis of Management Information, providing commentary
on operational performance; reviewing business drivers and
trends, assessing and forecasting their long- and short-term
impact.
Required Experience for Job Position above:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce,
Statistics, Economics, ICT or relevant field.
• At least 3 years’ experience in business analysis or a related
field of data management.
Person Specifications for job position above:
• Proficiency in Power BI, R, & python programming, SQL,
statistical analysis & mathematical modeling, Power point &
advanced excel.
• Strong analytical skills- ability to break down complex
problems in a data analyst role, analyze data effectively to
derive meaningful insights is key to the role.
• Critical thinking-able to use strategic thinking to evaluate
information objectively and assess alternative solutions to
make informed decisions.
• Effective communication skills-able to communicate findings
in a clear and concise manner.
