BACKGROUND

Biyinzika Poultry International Limited (BPIL) is the leading integrated poultry company and a recognized household brand within Uganda. BPIL produces and distributes quality day-old chicks and HACCP certified animal feed through over 40 branches within Uganda and the East African region. BPIL also produces chicken meat products under the Pearl Chicken Brand.

BPIL is seeking to recruit suitable candidates for the positions below.

1. Position: Treasury Manager (Re-Advertised)

Reporting: Chief Finance Officer

Work Location: Kampala, Bugolobi

Key Responsibilities

  • Company working capital management
  • Development and Implementation of Financial controls and policies
  • Bank account and relationship management
  • Manage the Treasury Team
  • Maintain Related Financial Records

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting/ Finance)
  • Full ACCA/CPA
  • Experience managing a Treasury Function
  • Understanding and experience of treasury accounting including
    FX, liquidity, cashflow and various financial instruments
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, financial instruments and debt instruments

2.  Position: Sales Representatives (10 positions)

Reporting: National Sales Manager

Work Location: Kigunga – Mukono

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the frequency and quality of sales calls are achieved and that call objectives are met.

  • Relay orders promptly and accurately through to the company.
  • Consistently follow up credit customers to ensure up to date payments by all customers as per sales orders delivered
  • To coordinate quarterly price research and report relevant findings to the sales manager for decision-making purposes.
  • To work hand in hand with the Key Account Managers and National Sales Manager to ensure that customers are regularly stocked, timely banking is done, shop reports are submitted.
  • Maximize sales volume in assigned areas, recruiting and servicing existing customers by route and ensuring maximum product/ brand visibility/ trade marketing Vs competition is done.
  • Acquire and recruit new customers/markets as well as servicing existing ones for FMCG Products in the area of operation and expand BPIL customer base so that the Company maximizes its sales potential.
  • Collaborate in managing all promotions for FMCG product range to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and monitor competitor activities within the assigned area.

Education and Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or related course
  • Prior training in Professional Selling Skills and Customer Care is an added advantage.
  • 3-4 years’ working experience in a similar role in a high performance, commercial environment.

3. Position: Technical Area Sales Representatives (5 positions)

Reporting: National Sales Manager

Work Location: Kigunga – Mukono

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Technical support and training to existing customers in the area of operation.
  • Improve farmer’s management practices so that they ale alevian successful enough to survive and grow their business

Identify any other sales opportunities that may exist in the

marketplace for poultry products or other livestock products.

  • Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales volume and UGX/Kg targets.
  • Cover all customers in a geographic region, take orders and push sales for the business Education and Experience
  • Minimum of Degree or Diploma in Agricultural, Animal Husbandry or Veterinary field
  • A prior training in Professional Selling Skills or in Customer Care is an added advantage.
  • 2-3 years working experience in a similar role in a busy, commercial environment.

4. Position: Senior Cashier

Reporting: Treasury Manager

Work Location: Kigunga – Mukono

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving cash and cheque payments from customers and ensuring safe custody before banking
  • Banking all cash receipts and cheques daily.
  • Post cash/cheque receipts into the system
  • Making payments of approved petty cash requisitions
  • Reconciliation of petty cash within the financial system daily
  • Prepare cash count certificates and reports every week
  • Filling petty cash vouchers, and ensuring that all petty cash vouchers filed are adequately supported

Education and Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration Accounting/ Finance)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy commercial environment
  • Knowledge of cash management
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial systems, processes and procedures

5. Position: Promoters (10 positions)

Reporting: Brands and Promotions Manager

Work Location: Kigunga – Mukono

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend all targeted events and promote BPIL brands
  • Carry out promotions as arranged and planned by the Brand & Promotions Manager
  • Set up promotional displays or booths at events, trade shows or retail locations.
  • Feed- back information to management regarding market trends, preferences, competitor activity & pricing, performance of our own products and sales opportunities.
  • Conduct live sampling and product trials from time to time
  • Ensure product visibility by setting up banners, displays and other promotional materials
  • Encourage customers to purchase products through persuasive communication
  • Address customer queries, concerns and objections regarding products
  • Participate in product launch events, campaigns, and in-store promotions

Education and Experience

  • Diploma in sales and marketing
