Bayport Financial Services (U) Ltd, a multinational, leading non-deposit taking financial institution is looking to hire dynamic, highly qualified, and skilled individuals for the following positions:
1. IT Services Management Lead – IT
Department
The person will be responsible to ensure that all local IS/IM activities, systems and practices are in line with Bayport approved global standards and mandatory procedures (governed by articles in the Company policies and procedures). The IT Services Management Lead holder will directly build and manage a local team that are trained and capable of addressing the particular needs and interests of their local colleagues and customers in the office, in the field and while travelling. Furthermore, he/she will also be responsible to carry our local IS budget planning, reporting and oversight of execution. This person will report to the Head of Commercial.
Key Requirements and Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Honor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- A master’s degree or equivalent further qualification in a computing or related subject is an added advantage.
- ITIL Foundation and/or Advanced certification is of advantage.
Experience & knowledge:
• Proven experience of managing a team in the context of a busy local environment
with at least a minimum of 8 years professional working experience
- Atleast four years’ experience in a managerial / strategic position in a fas paced business environment overseeing the IT function.
- Excellent general knowledge and experience of all aspects of IS including service desk, applications, asset management, infrastructure and information management.
- Ability to manage a dispersed team to deliver ongoing local IS services.
- Experience or a clear understanding of the application of ITIL (or equivalent) as a methodology
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability and interest in understanding BFSU’s various business areas and in making recommendations for business process improvements and simplification.
2. Area Manager – Gulu
The Area Manager will oversee the sales and operational activities, planning, direction, and management of the sales team within their designated area. Successful candidates will be responsible for implementing strategies to meet performance goals in relation to sales growth, market share, stakeholder relationship management and people management in the branches under their direct control. This person will report to the Division Executive – Sales & Operations.

- Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related discipline.
- A post graduate qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
Experience & knowledge:

- Minimum of five years’ experience in the financial services sector, three years of which must have been at regional management and/or department supervisory level in the sales function.
- Experience in the payroll lending sector is an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to cultivate a high-performance culture within the team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong relationship building skills with stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, driven, and energetic.
3. Portfolio Manager – Corporate Lending
The incumbent Portfolio Manager will be in charge of acquisition, retention, growth, service and relationship management in the Corporate Lending business and ensure that the image, brand and name of Bayport Uganda continues to significantly improve within its chosen segment and customer space. The Portfolio Manager will lead all sales, relationships in the Corporate
business and be directly in charge of a group of Portfolio officers within the managed business area.

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, finance, economics, law or any other relevant field
Experience & knowledge:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Financial Services Industry, three (3) years of which MUST have been at a Regional Management and Department supervisory level in Sales.
- Demonstrate a working and professional Knowledge and understanding of the loca geo-eco-politics, languages, private sector and government parastatal setting, leadership and cultural settings of the Region.
- Excellence in leadership with the ability to manage portfolio officers and independent field-based sales team in a strict but informal setting and the ability to motivate performance in non-traditional working spaces
- Excellence in public engagement, including but not limited to open town hall sales chats, closed door professional negotiations, proactive & reaction adhoc and organized solutions and innovation driven sales approaches and appreciation of working in a multi-cultural setting.
- Highest levels of integrity, Self-drive, smart, energetic and surrounded with and emitting positive energy to the team with ability to work without supervision.
