The Stoneridge School is launching a bakery to provide fresh bread and baked goods for our learners and parents and we are seeking a Bakery Operations and Business Manager to oversee the business side of this exciting venture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to promote the bakery’s products to learners, parents and the wider community.
- Manage day-to-day bakery operations, ensuring smooth coordination between the production team and sales channels.
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients.
- Create and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including parents, suppliers and local businesses.
- Oversee pricing strategies, cost control and profit margins to ensure the bakery’s financial sustainability.
- Manage marketing efforts such as promotions, social media updates and events to increase bakery visibility.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to inform decision-making and improve products and services.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and food quality standards.
Requirements:
- Education & Training:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
- Certification or training in food business management is an added advantage.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in business management, sales or marketing (experience in the food or hospitality industry preferred).
- Familiarity with bakery or food production operations is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong business acumen with a focus on sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and financial planning.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
