Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Baker to join our team at Smiles Snacks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in bread baking, cake decoration, and a variety of other baked goods. A strong knowledge of customer service and sales is essential for this role. If you are passionate about baking and possess a relevant certification or diploma, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Bread and Pastry Baking: Prepare a wide range of breads, pastries, and cakes according to established recipes and techniques.
Ø Cake Decoration: Create visually appealing and delicious cakes, including custom orders for special occasions.
Ø Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers, addressing their inquiries and taking special orders as needed. Focused: Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
Ø Sales: Assist in promoting baked goods, understanding customer preferences, and suggesting products to increase sales. Ability to effectively promote and sell baked products.
Ø Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of baking ingredients, and reorder supplies as needed.
Ø Quality Control: Ensure all baked products meet quality standards in taste, appearance, and texture.
Ø Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Ø Collaboration: Work with other team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
Ø Attention to Detail: Meticulous in following recipes and maintaining high quality.
Ø Time Management: Efficient in managing time and multitasking in a busy environment.
Ø Creativity: Innovative in cake and pastry design, with a keen eye for aesthetics.
Education and Certification Requirements:
– Certification/Diploma: Relevant certification or diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts or a related field.
– Experience: Proven experience in a baking role, with a strong portfolio of work (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications:
– Additional Skills: Knowledge of advanced baking techniques, dietary-specific recipes (e.g., gluten-free, vegan), or experience with large-scale production.
– Experience: Prior experience in a bakery or similar environment is highly desirable.
