Position: Baker- Fresh Bakery
Location: This position is based in Tigoni.
Job Summary:
The Baker is responsible for producing high-quality baked goods, including sour dough bread, rolls, pastries, and other items in line with production schedules and standards. This role requires expertise in following recipes, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring product consistency for an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment. The Baker works as part of a team to ensure fresh products are available for daily distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked products according to company recipes.
- Ensure all products meet the highest standards of taste, texture, and appearance.
- Adhere to daily production schedules and maintain consistency in product quality.
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards in a busy production environment.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and ensure minimal waste.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve production targets and contribute to smooth operations.
What We’re Looking for:
- Proven experience in food preparation and retail, preferably in a deli or food store.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a bakery, preferably within an FMCG environment.
- Diploma in Baking, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow recipes accurately, excellent teamwork, and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of baking techniques, food safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
