JOB PURPOSE
To assist the marketing manager in developing, implementing, and executing a strategic marketing plan for the company to attract potential customers and retain existing ones. They will also help organize and manage marketing campaigns to raise awareness and generate demand for products and services. The Assistant marketing manager will also undertake market research, understand the trends and customer preferences, create marketing strategy and budgets, actively create marketing materials and content, and perform all other relevant tasks essential for increasing the business sales.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing, evaluating, and executing marketing strategies.
- Analyzing market trends and preparing forecasts.
- Generating new business leads.
- Increasing brand awareness and market share
- Assist the Marketing Manager in coordinating marketing strategies with sales and finance departments.
- Assist the Marketing Manager in developing and managing the marketing department’s budget.
- Taking a leading role in branding, advertising and promotional campaigns
- Managing the department’s staff..
- Preparing and presenting departmental reports to the management.
- Participating in cross-cutting, inter-departmental initiatives.
- Promoting the company brand at major industry-related events such as KEPSHA and KESSHA annual meetings
- Keeping the management informed on the current marketing strategies and trends through in-depth market intelligence and research.
- Keep tabs on competitor activities and strategies and advise management on the best strategies to overcome competition.
- Conduct product-by-product performance analysis and advise management on the best and most viable strategic decisions regarding each product category.
- Any other duties and responsibilities shall be assigned from time to time by management.
