Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Chef at Beth’s Kitchen. The Assistant Chef will be responsible for assisting the head chef in food preparation, cooking, and ensuring high levels of food quality and hygiene standards. The role will involve collaborating with kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and contributing to menu planning and development.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Swahili Cuisine
  • Culinary skills, food preparation, and cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Team collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience in menu planning and development
  • Culinary certification or diploma in Food Production would be beneficial
  • Must reside in Mlolongo, Syokimau or Kitengela
