Assistant Account Manager

Job Purpose

The overall purpose of the job is to provide financial administration and project support to the account management team such as assisting in milk planning, milk payment, raw materials procurement and payment.

Key duties and responsibilities

  1. Assist in milk production planning for the whole month through evaluation of production capacity, manpower required, materials to be consumed, damages projections and milk payment;
  2. Assist the Finance Manager in preparation of monthly bill of materials report;
  3. Prepare milk payment and procurement report to be reviewed by the Finance Manager;
  4. Assist the Finance Manager in preparing a budget plan for the whole month;
  5. Confirm material receipt with vendors and ensure that vendor invoices for pack materials payments are reconciled;
  6. Assist in inventory management by analyzing stock levels of raw milk, production plan and finished goods inventory;
  7. Assist in reviewing production costing report on labour cost, repair cost and chemicals used – monthly;
  8. Record the fixed assets procured by capturing the serial numbers, estimated production running hours, and the spares;
  9. Validate payments through document claims and preparing payment advices in accordance with customer transactions;
  10. Conduct physical verification of what has been produced versus the pack mates procured;
  11. Prepare inventory reports on damages, stock levels, spares, fixed assets and bill of materials;
  12. Prepare account reconciliations, look into discrepancies, analyze expenses, and keep the company’s fix assets system up to date; and
  13. Perform any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager from time to time.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

  • Bachelors in Business Administration;
  • CPA certification or related field form a recognised institution
  • Minimum of 5 years related working experience

  • The job holder has no responsibility for equipment, finances or stock except for the work tools assigned.

  • The job holder has no final authority on key decisions in the department other than routine decisions related to execution of work.
