About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Agricultural Extension Officer to join our team in Narok. This role is pivotal in providing technical advice and support to farmers, while also driving sales, marketing, and rental services for our agricultural products and equipment. If you have a passion for agriculture and a knack for sales, this position offers a unique opportunity to combine both skill sets.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide expert agricultural advice and support to farmers in the region, helping them to improve crop yield, livestock health, and overall farm productivity.
– Develop and implement sales strategies to promote our agricultural products and services.
– Conduct market research to identify new opportunities for business growth.
– Manage rental services for agricultural machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal utilization and customer satisfaction.
– Assist in administrative tasks including report writing, customer record management, and inventory control.
– Organize and conduct farmer training sessions, workshops, and field demonstrations.
– Build and maintain strong relationships with local farmers, agribusinesses, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field.
– Proven experience in agricultural extension, sales, or a similar role.
– Strong understanding of agricultural practices and challenges in the region.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Proficiency in MS Office and relevant agricultural software.
– Willingness to travel within the region.
– Knowledge of agricultural practices and technologies
