Advocate (2–3 Years PQE) – J.K Kibicho & Co. Advocates, Kerugoya Office
Are you a passionate and skilled Advocate with 2–3 years post-qualification experience? J.K Kibicho & Co. Advocates is looking for a dedicated Associate in litigation with a keen interest in insurance and banking law to join our Kerugoya office.
Responsibilities
- Handle litigation matters especially in insurance and banking law.
- Draft and review court pleadings.
- Draft legal opinions on client matters.
- Represent clients in court and alternative dispute resolution forums.
- Conduct legal research.
- Liaise with clients, courts, and other stakeholders professionally and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) Honours with a Valid Practising Certificate for the year 2025.
- 2–3 years of post-qualification experience in litigation, preferably in insurance and banking law.
- Strong drafting, analytical, and legal research skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and work under minimal supervision.
- Interpersonal skills to work as a member of the team.
- To be client-centric and have the ability to engage with clientele.
- Proficiency in case management and MS Office Suite
