Job Advertisement: Secretary for Kenya Association of Muslim Medical Professionals (KAMMP)

The Kenya Association of Muslim Medical Professionals (KAMMP) is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a secretary. Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the executive team, the National Executive committee and provide essential support to the Nairobi Branch, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes during meetings.
Communication Management: Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external communications, including managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence.
Financial Management: Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks software, including recording expenses, managing invoices, and reconciling accounts.
Membership Coordination: Assist in managing membership databases, processing membership applications, assisting in member recruitment and communicating with members regarding events and activities.
Event Coordination: Assist in organizing events, workshops, and seminars by coordinating logistics, managing registrations, and liaising with vendors and stakeholders.
Liaison Duties: Act as a liaison between KAMMP and external organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to foster partnerships and collaborations.
Document Management: Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for documents, reports, and other relevant materials.
Oversee digital communications efforts, including managing social media accounts, updating the organization’s website, and creating engaging content for various digital platforms.
Requirements:
- Practicing Muslim of good standing with a commitment to upholding Islamic values and ethics.
- Academic background in Health sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is an added advantage
- Proven experience in administrative support roles, preferably in a nonprofit or healthcare organization.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team. 8. Knowledge of healthcare industry practices and regulations is an added advantage.
