Accounts Receivable

The  Accounts   Receivable   Officer   is   responsible   for  managing   the company’s accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate billing, collections, and account reconciliation.

 

 

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.

• Verify billing discrepancies and resolve any related queries.

• Maintain up-to-date billing records and ensure completeness of documentation.

 

 

• Monitor and reconcile customer accounts to identify outstanding

balances.

• Contact customers to follow up on overdue payments through phone calls, emails, or letters.

• Negotiate payment plans, when necessary, while maintaining

 

 

positive customer relationships.

• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.

• Maintain detailed records of all transactions and communications with customers.

• Generate regular reports on accounts receivable status, including

aging reports.

• Provide insights and recommendations to improve collection processes and reduce bad debt.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to

accounts receivable.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve customer issues and improve workflows.

Job Requirements

  • Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

o Certification in accounting or finance (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.

  • LanguagSkills: Proficiency in English language is preferred.
  • Mobility:Ability to travel as required for meetings.
  • Experience:

o 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles.

  • Technical Skills:

o Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.

o Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)

and Microsoft Excel.

o Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

o Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge:

o Knowledge of regulatory standards related to financial transactions.
