
Makindu Children’s Centre, a not-for-profit NGO based in Makindu town has a vacancy for Accounts Assistant.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure statutory filing and payments before the due dates
- Update financial data in the database to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
- Posting tax returns in iTax system to meet the current Kenya Revenue Authority tax guideline and ensuring payments are effected within the statutory period.
- Managing reconciliations both in payables and receivables.
- Bank agent duties- i.e. cash withdrawals, request for bank statements and other such assignments
- Prepare requisitions and payment vouchers and forward them for approval to ensure timely pay outs on goods and services consumed by the organization
- Responsible for filing and management of all documents
- Any other assigned accounting and administrative duties
Required skills and experience
- At least a Diploma in a Business or Finance related field
- At least CPA Part II qualification.
- Proficient in using financial software and tools.
- Ac least three years relevant working experience in a reputable organization
