Accountant

Key Competencies.

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field
  • Professional qualification: The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification/ At least part 2
  • Experience: At least three years of relevant experience in Insurance Industry. -Insurance Accounting.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, as well as relevant tax regulations in Kenya and Basic Understanding of IFRS 17.

Key Skills.

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Accounts Payable and receivables reconciliations by reviewing, recording, and ensuring appropriate documentation.
  • Review the daily receipting and Banking reports
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and maintain accurate Asset register
  • Carry out bill payments, invoicing and vendor statement reconciliations.
  • Assisting with internal and external customer service requests regarding finance
  • Maintain Accurate Investment schedules.
  • General Ledger Review for Accuracy.
  • Any other duties as allocated from time to time.
