Job Description:

As an Accountant at PRG Motors Ltd, you will play a key role in maintaining our financial integrity and ensuring smooth financial operations. You will be responsible for overseeing financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing valuable insights into the company’s financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management: Maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, and manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll.

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with standard accounting practices. Assist with management reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including timely preparation and filing of tax returns (VAT, PAYE, corporate taxes) and liaising with tax authorities when necessary.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of the company’s budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing input on revenue, costs, and profitability projections.

Bank Reconciliation: Monitor, reconcile, and ensure accuracy of bank accounts, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.

Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial controls and identify areas for improvement. Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.

Cost Control: Analyze and monitor expenses to identify areas for cost reduction and operational efficiency.

Vendor and Client Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers and clients concerning invoicing, payments, and accounts reconciliation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification

At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the automotive or retail industry

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Zoho books)

Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
