
Job Objective
This role oversees planning, implementing and executing individual projects and groups of related company projects in a coordinated manner to obtain benefits and control. The programme manager emphasises the coordinating and prioritising of resources across projects, managing links between the projects and the overall costs and risks of the program.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
- Compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) by using the set accounting standards, principles and best practices in reporting of events and transactions in the financial statements
- Reconciling general ledger balances and ensuring the accuracy of the trial balance at the end of every month
- Performing month and full year-end closure procedures by updating the monthly audit workbooks which include updating the Profit and Loss, Balance sheet and Trial Balance. Ensuring all the financial transactions have been correctly captured and reported
- Supporting internal and external audits to retrieve and provide the requested financial information and preparation of financial statements
- Processing of employees’ expense claims by ensuring that all the costs are supported by receipts, accurately calculated, and allocating any travel advances issued to the employee if any
- Reconciliation of bank accounts and petty cash by ensuring all the respective receipts and payments have been captured on the ERP system (Netsuite) at the end of the month
- Filing and timely submission of statutory for WIOCC Group entities and other statutory payments that may arise from time to time depending on the government regulations in the various jurisdictions
- Assisting in the implementation and compliance with the Company’s Internal Standard Order Procedures, work instructions and accounting policies to ensure the efficiency and quality of financial records
- Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job by the supervisor from time to time
Qualifications & Skills
- An undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or related field
- Professional accounting qualifications (CPA or ACCA)
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in accounting functions
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to implement and execute set objectives in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent ICT skills including computerised accounting systems
- Good understanding and ability to apply current accounting guidelines and principles
- Strong organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to manage deadlines
- High level of attention to detail and dependability
- A track record in setting priorities and problem-solving skills, which support and enable sound decision-making
