
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Accountant
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting:
- Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial statements.
- Prepare journal entries for various transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payroll.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records.
Taxation:
- Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns (e.g., VAT, PAYE).
- Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
Internal Controls:
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Other Duties:
- Assist with audits and other financial reviews.
- Provide support to other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Must have: CPA Level 4 or higher.
- Preferred: ACCA midway or completed.
Experience:
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero).
Added Advantage:
• Fluency in Gujarati.
