Introduction:
The Chartered Institute of Directors Nigeria (CIoD Nigeria) is a Membership Based Organisation (MBO) and Professional Institute which promotes corporate governance, directors’ development and capacity building, represents our members to government, enhances the economy for business development and provides services to our membership.
Founded on 17 May 1983, CIoD Nigeria has been at the forefront of promoting good governance practices in Nigerian companies and the Public Sector. Through its various activities, CIoD Nigeria had helped develop professional standard of directorship, and provided best practice guidelines for company directors to perform their duties effectively up to the international standards.
The recently attained charter status of the Institute has expanded the scope of operations and services. There is therefore a need to fill a newly created and other roles within the Institute.
Vacancies exist in the roles indicated below:

1. OFFICER, PROGRAMS
The Programs officer will assist in the successful planning and execution of all CIoD events and Programs including the flagship events of CIoD, the Annual Directors’ Conference, CIoD roundtables and forums, etc. The incumbent will Support the Manager, Programs in the design and implementing of IoD Nigeria’s public relations strategies
Competency and Skills Requirement
Must have Excellent people management skills, with ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional and business teams. Also, the ability to plan and coordinate all on-the-ground logistics of programs and events from start to finish.
Budgeting is a core skill requirement for this role.
Academic & Professional Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in any related disciplines.
● A postgraduate degree and professional certification will be an added advantage but not mandatory.
Experience
● Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience in events, programs coordination
● Experience in a business membership organisation will be an added advantage but not mandatory
2. OFFICER, CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS
The Corporate Communications officer will assist to drive digital innovation across CIoD Nigeria. The incumbent will develop and manage high quality content that will allow the Institute communicate with key audiences. Also be responsible for developing and implement effective communication strategies to enhance and promote CIoD Nigeria and its services. Duties will also not be limited to enhancing brand awareness of the Institute within the digital space as well as drive website and social media channels traffic.
Competency and Skills Requirement
• Develop and execute internal and external communication strategies
• Craft and disseminate press releases, media advisories, and other external communications.
• Manage social media platforms, create content, and engage with followers.
• Produce corporate publications (newsletters, annual reports, etc)
• Well-developed understanding for writing for the digital space, adaptable to different styles and tones of voice.
• Conduct communication audits and research.
• Develop and implement crisis communication plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Academic & Professional Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, media management or any related discipline
• A professional certification will be an added advantage but not mandatory.
Experience
• Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience in digital marketing or communications
• Experience in an advertising or creative agency will be an added advantage

3. OFFICER, TRAINING AND CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT
The officer will be responsible for all administrative and on-the-ground logistics of CIoD’s Training and Director Development programs. Execute all tasks that facilitates seamless process in the training cycle. The incumbent will also assist in implementing strategies
and initiatives to increase the uptake of training programs in the Institute and regional offices

Competency and Skills Requirement
In-depth understanding and deep knowledge of training evaluation and assessment, training needs analysis. Attention to detail and accuracy of data is also an important skill to be possessed.
Academic & Professional Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in Social Science discipline or related field
Experience
● Minimum of 1 (one) year relevant experience
● Experience in a business membership organisation will be an added advantage but not mandatory

4. OFFICER, EXAMS AND CERTIFICATION
The incumbent will be responsible for all administrative and on-the ground logistics of CIoD examination and certification program. Assisting in implementation strategies and initiatives to increase the intake of certification exams.
Competency and Skills Requirement
Tests and measurements skill is a must have, in addition to exams and certification operation in a membership-based organisation. Digital savviness is also very compulsory to possess.
Academic & Professional Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or sciences or related disciplines.
Experience
● Minimum of 1 (one) year relevant experience
● Experience in a professional membership organisation will be an added advantage
