Key responsibilities include managing harvesting practices, ensuring quality cane delivery, maintaining field vigilance, coordinating with other departments, managing land preparation and planting, conducting staff training, preparing reports, enforcing safety protocols, and performing additional duties assigned by the Estate Manager. A Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, plus a minimum of five years’ agricultural experience (three in sugarcane cultivation) is required. You’ll also need strong knowledge of sugarcane agronomy, farm machinery, labor management, and communication skills, along with computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
