The position

The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu is an institution of the Aga Khan Health Service, Kenya, which is an Agency of the Aga Khan Development Network. The Hospital is part of a network of health facilities, which includes Hospitals and Outreach Health Facilities across East Africa. The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu is in an exciting growth phase and has attained acknowledgment of its quality by achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification, ISO 15189:2012 accreditation for laboratory services, Safe Care level 5 accreditation and is at advanced stage of attaining Joint Commission International Accreditation. The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu has Outreach Health Services at Kisii, Kakamega, Kitale, Bungoma, Kericho, Kibuye-Kisumu, West End- Kisumu, Busia, Homa – Bay, Migori, Bomet, Eldoret, Kimilili and Nyamira. The Hospital is seeking to attract interested and qualified candidates to fill the following position in the Finance Department.

Marketing Officer

Overall Responsibility

The successful candidate will be expected to market Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu product portfolio and developing strategic relationships with a variety of corporate clients especially insurance, banks and parastatals and healthcare managers. This position is a proactive member of the marketing team that facilitate securing new business and growing existing business in Kisumu and all regions where Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu has established outreach medical canters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support in corporate management by continuous engagement through meetings, emails, events and partnerships.
  • Coordinate developing of promotional material and content. Coming up with content for fliers, banners, road signs, media messages etc. which inform publics about our services and educate patients on various health conditions and remedies.
  • Assist in opening of credit and cash account.
  • Gather data related to Market/Competitors analysis.
  • Support New services awareness creation.
  • Coordinate Event management. Planning, Budgeting and executing plans for various events.
  • Liaising with relevant departments in the hospital through meetings
  • Marketing AKHS within the Western and Rift Valley Region.
  • Liaison between service providers and external doctors.
  • To ensure delivery of cost-effective services.
  • To deliver quality services in the operations.
  • To deliver customer service excellence.

The requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications or Entrepreneurship, or related discipline.
  • At least three years relevant work experience in marketing or public relations
  • Demonstrates ability to think creatively and analytically
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Can create and maintaining a large client network.
  • Ability to work with a diverse multicultural team
  • Ability to negotiate and convince
