SUPERVISOR: Head of Trading
LOCATION: Nairobi, Kenya
Role Description
The role will be responsible for driving and maximizing revenue generation by providing proficient services to existing and potential clients in order to grow market share and retain existing business
Duties and Responsibilities
- Engage clients in order to understand their investment needs and guide them on making efficient investment decision for best returns
- Build strong relationships with customers in order to create opportunity for repeat business and referrals.
- Obtain a clear understanding of the Company’s sales strategy and formulate individual role objectives to support the Company’s overall goals.
- Proactively seek to understand customers’ long-term needs and strategy and ensure they are aligned with the Company’s business strategy
- Carry out KYC and ensure that customers meet the Company’s requirements for documentation
- Inform customers on the investment process as well as the required documentation for a smooth sales process
- Maintain customers information with confidentiality at all times
- Maintain integrity in all client’s dealings at all times
- Seeking new customers through networking opportunities available internally and externally and following up on leads to close deals.
- Keep up with market trends and research information both locally and internationally, in order to obtain updated and relevant market information necessary for advising potential and existing customers.
- Work with relevant teams to come up with sales and marketing strategies for new business
- Providing daily, monthly and sector trading reports to the Company through the Supervisor as required
- Meeting the set revenue targets through making new sales and upselling to existing customers
- Provide market feedback to the Company for improvement of products and services
- Any other duty as may be assigned by Supervisor or Management from time to time
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or any other relevant degree from a recognized University
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of fixed income or equities trading
- Certification by NSE for ATS
- CISI Certification-Levels I & II
- Knowledge of the Financial Markets
- Ability to work with strict deadlines as an individual and a member of a team
