The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigeria nationals for the position below at the Institute’s headquarters in Ibadan.
Position: Field Worker III
Duration: 6 months’ renewable
Location: Ibadan
DUTIES:
- Assist in the establishment of field trials and support station trials phenotyping and data collection
- Carry out spraying of herbicides and insecticides on field trials
- Support the maintenance of screen house and glass house trials
- Carry out pollination on crossing blocks and general field maintenance
- Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements
QUALIFICATION:
O’level with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment. Experience in agricultural-related domain is an added advantage.
COMPETENCIES:
The ideal candidate must:
- Have the ability to use field book application
- Have adequate understanding of MS Office packages
