POSITION:MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR
Location: Kampala
QUALIFICATIONS
1. A relevant Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field
2. Good working knowledge in word,excel including Microsoft application
3. Experience in using CAD, designing and Cmms is an added advantage
4. Strong leadership and project management skills
5. Minimum experience of 5 years in mechanical engineering oil and gas
6. Good tracking record in managing mechanical construction activities
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Reinforce daily incident and injury free safety culture for all onsite construction activities. In conjunction with the site HSE officer to promote and maintain a sustainable safety culture on the project that safety is a natural part of all works performed
2. Ensure contractor operates and records materials and equipment issuence system
3. Continuous oversight on materials storage facilities to ensure materials, consumables and Equipment storage, preservation is in accordance with manufacturers recommendations
4. Ensure that all companies systems of quality assurance are adhered to and assist the project quality assurance function in completion of site systems
5. Ensure that all construction is executed in an integrated way in accordance with the project specification, schedules,cost estimates, procedures, quality requirements and Safety standard
6. Over see on site mechanical construction and coordinates with construction manager
7. Be carefully conversant with mechanical drawings, specifications, and procedures to relevant mechanical and piping construction
8. Participate in risk reviews and toolbox talks with site work force and assist with the development of mitigation plans for all major areas of risks
9. Ensure construction work is performed in accordance with companies HSSE and quality requirements
10. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications and permits.
11. manage the allocation of resources including materials and equipment
12. Right to report and stop any work Which may be detrimental and dangerous to the work colleagues during work execution of duties for safety compliance at work.
13. Perform any other duties assigned by the construction manager
14. Coordination of projects execution with construction manager with site mechanical works
